 Day 21, 05/02/23

1.Anecdotes: Mr. Sunil Saini Gave us various tips on how to maintain record properly.
   it was followed by various impressions by participants. 
2. Moments: we enjoyed the valedictory function.

4.Thoughts and Ideas: We all were very excited to reach our home again and meet our family members as well as school students.

 Day 20, 04/02/23

 1.Anecdotes: In session 1 Mrs. Sharley started the day with a wonderful interactive lecture on padlet, its use in library ,it's  importance after that Mrs. Sheena taught us how to create quiz on quizzes app then Pooja Sharma madam showed how to create QR code for various promotional activities. Mr. Faisal taught us how to create Facebook page for library.

session 2 was on Library story telling pedagogy by Sh. Mukesh Kumar with a great enthusiasm and wonderful activity.

In third session wehad a handson session and we filled the feedback Performa

4.Thoughts and Ideas: So many Ideas and thoughts came to my mind  about research we can do in case of students who are not interested in reading due to various reasons  and ethics we should follow at work place with each and everyone.  

 

Day 18 on 02/02/2023

  • Learned about Class library, role of librarian and class library activities in the context of NEP 2020 by mr. Vipin Dua.
  • Learned about how we can develop attractive and  useful class library.
  • Gathered information about Library Association for school Librarians and Information literacy curriculum.
  • Lecture on Action Research by Tejindar Sing
  • Participated in daily quiz through Quizziz App. 
  • Lecture on Library Learning Space redesign by Mr. S.L. faisal.
  • Information about SLA by Mr. S.L. Faisal.
  • Group Activities.

 Day 19 ,  03/02/23 


1.Anecdotes: In session 1 Mr. S.L. Faisal started the day with a wonderful interactive lecture on library associations specially SLA: how to join this association, it's  importance, etc. and the session 2 was on Library advocacy and collaboration by Neeza Singh with a great enthusiasm and wonderful activity.
In third session we visited the T S Central State library Chandīgarh

2. Moments: we enjoyed the visit to children section in T S Central State library Chandīgarh.

Day 17 Learning


1.Anecdotes: दीवारों पर हाथ हैं तो दर भी मिलेगा, घर से निकल चुके हैं तो उनका घर भी मिलेगा ... in session 1 Mr. Tejinder Singh started the day with a wonderful interactive lecture on Action Research and the session 2 was on Work Ethics by Rajeev Ranjan with a great enthusiasm and wonderful activity.

2. Moments: The activity on Rumor creation and cleaning by Mr. Sunil Saini was the great moment of the day.

3. Stories : Mr. Tejinder Singh sung a song " mayi ni meriye shimle di rahe" , his melodious voice was heart winning.
                 After lunch Mr. Adesh  sharma gave a short and wonderful  demo session on different google tools with MS excel and MS word.

   Day 7  Date  22-01-23 

 Anecdote: A prayer session was organized by group E on day 6.

First Session:  In the first session a quiz was conducted with Quizziz app by the resource person to assess the knowledge of the previous day.

After that a session on changing role of librarians, goals, of the school library, how the librarians can act as a teacher, leader, information specialist. The session was really wonderful and learnt the main goals of our profession.

Second session: After the tea break a session on the topic “stress management and mental health was taken by Sh. Manoj Bajaj, which was a burning topic and fits to all occasions. We learnt how to manage our stress.

Third session: After the lunch, a session on how to create a “Newsletter”, its uploading, etc. was taken by Sh. Adesh Sharma, which will be a very useful tool for the library.

Fourth session: In the last session all the participants went to the computer lab to create Newsletter and it was assisted by all the resource persons of the course.

 Today all the participants understood these topics such as changing roles of school library and librarians, stress management, newsletter as a digital tool.

Day 3 Learning: 18-01-2023

 Session 1: Librarian as Academic Leader

The Session was very informative and interesting. Many things were learned in this lively and interactive session such as definition of Leader, meaning of Leadership, qualities of Leadership, Types of leadership, leadership in view of NEP 2020, Librarian as leader. The session was very much interactive. All participants shared the 10 qualities of leader they think a leader should possess. 

Session 2: Balancing our life and work ethics

This interactive session by Shri Tarun Goyal Goyal gave lots of inputs on how to balance our work and life. The gist of the session was we should live for ourselves and we should live in accordance with nature. We should also have to care for our nature and we should live according to the law of the nature. Change is the nature of life but, we have to change by coordinating with the nature. One cannot do two tasks at a time and that is not our nature to do different tasks at a time. Multitasking is different concept and we have to prioritize our goals while multitasking. 

Session 3: Library Automation: Upgradation to eG4

So many issues and doubts related to eGranthalaya were cleared and many more doubts which were participants were having in mind were collected and to be cleared in coming days. Doubts related to installation of eG3, Cataloguing part, members bulk upload, issue return related queries, report related doubts, old entries related to eGranthalaya were cleared.

Session 4: eGranthalaya 4.0 Management

\This lively session involved and cleared many doubts related to upgradation of eGranthalaya from version 3.0 to version 4.0 which is cloud based. I could learn many things such as components required for eG4, support, agency and hosting. I could also learn about agenda of NIC, Objectives of eG4, definition of eLibrary, services offered by eLibrary to the users, different phases of Library automation, agencies involved, components of eLibrary, implementation mode, cost, domain specific features and cloud architecture.

Day 2 Learning: 17-01-2023

 Session 1; Library guidelines and procedural manual

Different aspects of Library Guidelines and the importance of these guidelines and the impact of these guidelines in KVS with the main stakeholders is very much interesting first session. It was lively and interactive with so many usseful doubt clearing moments with respect to KVS Library manual such as Budget allocation to language books, Primary Class Libraries, Computers to be made available in the Library and so on. Interesting thing to know was the concept of Vidyanidhi, a governement initiative.

Session 2: School Safety

I learned why safe and secure learning is very much necessary and different articles such as Article 14, Article 15(3), Article 21, Article 21 A, Article 23 & 24, Article 39 E & 39 F, Article 46, Article 47 and Article 51 A (E). Also understood the concept of Psycho Social safety.

Session 3: Digital Portfolio creation by using Blogger Platform

This was one of the most amazing sessions where I could learn the easiest way of creating a Blog and using it to create ePortfolio. Pages Creation, Post Creation and how to create labels and how to add Scrolling images and words with different syntax and little bit of HTML Coding used in the creation of a blog was really very useful session.

Session 4: Hands on Session on ePortfolio Creation

This session was useful to learn practically the creation of our ePortfolio using Blogger Tool and to experiment with what we have learned in the previous session.

Day 1 Learning:16-01-2023

 Session 1: Inauguration

The day began with the wonderful inauguration ceremony. I could meet wonderful people from the field of Library Science from different corners of India. 







Session 2: Objectives and Need of the ISC

Different objectives of the In-Service Course such as
- To upgrade our knowledge
- Problem solving
- Facilitation of learning
- Action research and so on. 
I was also fascinated by the new phrase"Parking of ideas" and its meaning.
                                                                                


Session 3: Digital Portfolio- What? How?

I could understand the word Digital portfolio for the first time and its meaning. Why this is being used recently in coroprate sector and what are the benifits of using it in acdemic sector. To evaluate the progress of our growth.
Two types of Portfolios 1) Showcase portfolio  2) Developmental portfolio
Importance of Portfolio and evaluation criteria for the portfolio. Different tools used to create portfoliio like Wordpress, Blogger, Google sites, WIx, Weebly, Google docs etc. I alao came to know about the wonderful concept of Learning diary.


Session 4: Pre test Analysis

Pre test analysis was conducted on the last Session to evaluate our understanding with respect to the contest of our field. Group formation, Committees formation and Project Topic distribution was done.
